This kraken hand mirror is gorgeous. I ordered it to have something unique to mirror the back of my head while cutting my hair and shaping the rear lower hairline. It's corny, but I wanted a cool hand mirror to make me smile a little while giving myself a haircut--and something that would look cool hanging in my bathroom off of a hook. But it's tiny for a hand mirror. It verges on being the size of a child toy hand mirror. Before ordering it, I actually pulled out a tape measure and stretched it out to dimensions of the mirror to help me visualize it's size. And I said to myself, "Damn, that's really small for a hand mirror." BUT for my purposes, I decided it would be worth it, even if it was smaller than ideal. Long story shorter, the *outer dimensions* are small, but the actual space of the reflective mirror surface is smaller than most people would imagine. And the opening at the bottom of the handle that you might use to hang on a hook in your bathroom is too small to fit over even a hook with an end that has a diameter of less than 1/2 inch. It will still work for my hair-cutting purposes, even if a bit awkwardly. I'll hang it somehow. And the design is beautiful. It just would have been much better if the design expanded the reflective mirror surface portion of the product by even a half-inch and likewise with the opening at the bottom of the handle. It's difficult to visualize before you buy it. This is my 2nd purchase from this company. All gorgeous products. But I see a pattern of specific practical design issues that are hard for customers to visualize online.
